Organization Description

Flying Scots on the Bay

The BBYRA is a Regional Sailing Association (RSA) of 14 sailing yacht clubs located around the waters of Barnegat Bay in New Jersey. We host an active One Design Sailing championship race series each summer, as well as coordinating many other sailing and related events in the area.

We are members of: US Sailing Logo in area ‘C’

Mission Statement The BBYRA is organized exclusively to foster amateur sailboat racing competition in yachts on Barnegat Bay and on a national and international level and to support and develop amateur athletes for the sport of sailboat racing, including for such purposes, the making of distributions to organizations under Section 501 (c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code (or corresponding section of any future tax code). It may provide training for candidates and their crews by organizing and/or holding competitive events and holding of meetings in the nature of seminars. The prescriptions of the United States Sailing Association, Inc., (hereinafter USSAILING) with respect to matters of race, color, religion, age, sex or national origin shall apply to the BBYRA.

The BBYRA is a 501 (c)(3) organization. The IRS recognizes contributions made to the BBYRA as tax deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law. The Federal Tax Identification Number is 22-6049570 and the New Jersey Identification Number is CH07657
