Awarded annually to the member Yacht Club fostering the most participation in yacht racing on Barnegat Bay. presented in honor of the past commodores by the family of George M Nelson, commodore 1962-63
The award is based on the number of "Qualifiers" from each member club in the BBYRA Championship series. In the event of a tie, the number of registered boats from each club will be used to break the tie.
