In keeping with our mission to foster amateur sailboat racing on Barnegat Bay and surrounding waters, the BBYRA contributes to, supports and partners with other charitable organizations in our community.  

The BBYRA proudly supports US Sailing and its outreach programs. Through US Sailing, we offer and host seminars, education and presentations that are available to the public. 

BBYRA provides volunteers and on-water support for the annual row around Manhattan event supporting boat-building projects and mentoring for at-risk Bronx youth. 

The BBYRA supports a number of local sailing foundations and societies, contributes to local EMT water rescue groups, and has donated sailing history books to area libraries. 

The  BBYRA manages this charitable fund, the purpose of which is to enable  skippers to pursue further competition beyond the BBYRA level in US  Sailing National Cup Events and/or US Olympic Qualification Events.  Please contact the BBYRA chairperson of US Sailing National Cup Events  for details.
